Life u choose ....

i sometimes wonder why everything has to be so complex in life ..i mean to think of it ... why does one have to be so heavy abt life ?? why do u need to do the work the work u r doing ?
why does one have to study ? why get a degree and look for jobs ? why design programs , construct buildings , manufacture cars , and makes so many things and then sell them .., because in essence we can all do without all this ...
i mean this was never God's design ...
Ppl connected to each other much better before the age of mobile phones .and internet ...
It was easier to go from one place to another ... before the age of the fanciest cars... certainly better than being stuck in numerous traffic jams ....
we had better shows on TV and always found something to watch .. before the age of satellite TV ...
well while the materials increase ... the options multiply ... the opportunities double ... the comforts treble ... .. happiness eludes us even more ... and its amazing ... how none of us can manufacture happiness or the satisfaction of living a life we wanted ...
none of us can design programs ... manufacture products ..... or .. build infrastructure that will make us happy ... the ultimate happiness ...
and it exists ... for all of us ... and its upto us .. to choose a life .. path that leads to that ultimate happiness ... and thats what we shld seek ... first to know what wud give u that ultimate happiness and then to venture out and get it ....
we will talk more abt this .. and i wud want all of u to share ur thoughts abt this ...
hope u do ...

your right. today we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers, wider roads but thinner patience... 10,000 of us live in area meant for 12-1400, but we dont know our neighbours... we each have mobiles and landlines and email but lesser time to communicate... the value of a hug is replaced instead by an email or an sms.. the smile now stops just short of the eyes and holds a distinct allofness... gifts are expensive and big, but dont come from the heart. ok i can go on. ill stop now :)

Civilizatin is moving forward. We build/design/invent things to

1 - learn more about ourselves and the place we live in
2 - to make our lives easier so we have more time to persue point 1

If we really could do without all of this, we would have been doing so already. God's design, if there ever was a god, is not known to anyone. People who claim to know it are nothing but phonies. It was never easy to go from one place to another. We couldn't have dreamed of covering distances we now cover. the boundries of our world was crippled by this. Now we've overcome it.

I would disagree about your tele viewing habits. Television programs have improved over time.

I'm too lazy to actually continue commenting really.

hey ashwin..

guess u took it to some othere level bro...

what i meant is that whatever we do .. we make the fastest planes... the swankiest cars ,.. the most complex mobile phone and .. what not ...
but does this all lead to happiness?
look around and see how many ppl that u see are happy ...
and i m talking abt the ultimate happiness

just a thought....

maybe somewhere, in designing these swanky new things and making our lives more luxurious, we are actually trying to make up for the lost mental peace and hapiness...

its really true, that more messed up we are inside, the more we search outwardly for peace!!

Good blog :)

Thanks Rach ...

the paradox is that we are losing our happiness to gain things which will give us back that lost happiness ...
